lohi on-line collection
Handmade linen clothing, made in Ranfurly, Central Otago. Every piece is cut and sewn by hand by Tania, in small runs from deadstock linen — fabric rescued from going to waste — so no two batches are ever quite the same. It's slow fashion in the truest sense: made to be worn for years, not seasons.
The pieces are named for the landscapes around us — the Styx, Rough Ridge, Mt Buster, St Bathans, Hawkdun — the tussock country and schist hills of the Maniototo that we call home. Linen itself comes from the flax plant, one of the oldest and most sustainable fibres there is: breathable in summer, surprisingly warm in the cool, and softer with every wash.
